The ominous structure no longer functions as a granary but was <a href="http://www.cityofsacramento.org/dsd/planning/preservation/newsletter/2005/documents/preservation-e-newsletter-06-10-2005.pdf" target="_blank">approved for redevelopment by the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency over 3 years ago</a>. Supposedly there was going to be 114 senior housing units built but not much has happened since the approval for redevelopment was secured. The run-down former grain mill, a designated City Historic Building, stands on one of downtown Sacramento's main entrances and the land it sits on absolutely has to be worth something.</p> <div
